Hey bookaholics, Here I am writing a review of my most favourite book, a fascinating one which outstands from the rest. Let me tell the book name with utmost pride "The palace of illusion" a mythological fiction by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. It had been on my TBR list for years, finally grabbed it. Come, let's travel through this.

Cover:✍️
This could be the most mesmerising and stunning book cover according to me as that itself is provoking the reader to grasp it.

About the book:✍️
This is the phenomenal retelling of Mahabharatha from Draupadi's slant. She share a special Bonding with her brother dhrishtadyumna, which most of the retelling doesn't narrate us about.
swayamwar is arranged for her with an uphill task for all the groom's who are attending swayamwar, which only two persons are capable of achieving the target, Arjun one of the Pandava brother, a great archer and Karna yet another stupendous archer. Before seeing Arjun's portrait she happens to see Karna's and falls for him. But on Krishna's insist she opts for Arjun as Karna has curses. Krishna doesn't want Draupadi to face all those. But fate had other plans. After Arjun won the competition and brought her home, It was Kunti's words that turned, to end up Draupadi marrying all five Pandavas. Yudhishthir being the eldest of them all fits to become the crown prince and he is fond of gambling and lost all his Maya palace, four brothers and including Draupadi, everything in the game of dice to their evil-minded cousin Duryodhana. He with his gang abash Draupadi. These all incidents lead to the war which turns to be 'the Epic'. Language is lucid. Even after marrying Pandavas, Draupadi didn't get the love which she was longing for. The pain, suffering and untold love of Karna - Draupadi touch the reader's heart. Here the author narrates the whole in a catchy way which clutches the readers.
Though the whole Mahabharatha and the palace of illusion book is my favourite, still few of my best-loved characters are Karna, Arjun, Abhimanyu. This is not a Book but a magical one. so one must surely clasp it. A rating of Five is this book deserves.
