The Crux: :🔖
This book is all about a boy named Ambi who hails from Tamil Nadu it's about his life experience which takes the reader as well to their memory lane. Coming to the story revolves in and around Trichy, Tirunelveli and Delhi. The story goes around the beautiful memories of his childhood. Little Ambi was standing in a queue of the age-old shop to get the world-famous iruttu Kadai Halwa for Deepavali and how his days are in that town His father is doing hotel business and very famous for gulab jamun and thul pakoda. Then they are moving to Trichy and rebuild their hotel. One of my favourite chapters is Lakshmi maadu coming home regularly and saving them one day (Pandit ke gaai).

My Two Cents : 📍
The author illustrates the journey of Ambi from his childhood to his older age. It is solely based on his character, but trust me it is very interesting. It took me to the nostalgic days of my childhood too. It's a very quick read and the narration is crisp. The photographs in each chapter enhance a book’s beauty. As a Tamil speaking girl, I thoroughly enjoyed the writing which has Tamil and English in it. Gayathri and srividhya idhu oru Nalla puthagam Nalla thuvakkamum Kuda. overall it's a delight and gripping read which will take you down memory lane. if it is a paperback it would be fantastic as I read the kindle version of it. but I loved and recommend it to everyone.
