Title: RajaRaja Chola

🔹An Interplay Between An Imperial Regime and Productivity is a historical read based on the Chola ruler RajaRaja Chola aka Arulmozhivarman.

🔸Considered one of the greatest and most powerful kings of his time defeating and capturing many territories and building some of the greatest architecture. He was the ruler of southern parts of India.

🔹This is a beautiful book about the life and achievements of the Chola emperor RajaRaja Chola a name which we learnt during our school history periods. 

🔸 At the beginning of the book there are two maps showing the regime of the Chola empire and a chronological chart of the Chola dynasty which is very helpful for me while reading. 

🔹Raja Raja was born in 947 CE, During his ruling period, he expanded trade, culture and architecture. One of the famous pieces of architecture built by RajaRaja was the great Brahameshwar temple in Tanjavur.

🔸It's a very interesting and knowledgeable read, that we came to know about the greatest kings. The author did a fabulous job by giving information about the southern parts of India.

🔹 The narration is very impressive. Adding a few images of those olden times (i.e) the coins and symbols are good to know.

🔸The cover of the book is simple yet eye-catching. The author did a lot of research before completing this mind-blowing book, which came out very well. 

🔹I remember the famous historical read in Tamil 'Ponniyin Selvan' after reading this book.  Overall, it's a very good read one must grab to know more about the Cholas.
