👉The Crux:

🔸The scarlet horizon by Rajesh Iyer is a different kind of book that tells us about the incidents that happened before the Kurukshetra war begins. It starts with Krishna invoking Mahavidyas, the ten manifestations of goddess Kali, which includes Kali, Tara, Tripura Sundari, Bhuvaneshwari, Chinnamasta, Bhairavi, Matangi etc.

🔹Krishna begins his talks with ten women starting from Lakshmanaa (Daughter-in-law of Krishna and Daughter of Duryodhan), Draupadi, Bhanumati(Duryodhan's wife), Ghandari,  Ponnuruvi(Karna's wife), Kripi, Sulabha(Vidur's wife), Kunti and Uttara.

🔸Krishna didn't succeed in the peace talks and discussion with the women and other Court members which finally leads to the war. But wait why Krishna went to talk with the women who won't fight the war if it starts? Satyaki and Arjun wonder. But Krishna feels that feminine energy is much needed to prevent more damage and to stop the war. Grab this intriguing read to know more about his talks with the women of that era.

👉My two cents:

🔸It's a fast-paced and captivating read one can finish off in a couple of days. The narration is perfectly done by the author. My favourite Mahabharata which I read differently in a new dimension for the first time. This novel is a great masterpiece that everyone should read without missing it.

🔹I have read the great Mahabharata several times with different authors but this read shows a new way of looking into it with women characters who have much impact and their influences on the war.

🔹All 21 chapters are elaborated very well without any flaws. Author has done a great job and handed us a masterpiece. This is my second read of the same other. He impressed me this time as well with this amazing read. The first is Jabberwockiers. Thanks for sending me this cherishable and author signed read @rajesshiyer sir. This is a must-read if you love reading the great epic.
